Confessions Of A Glass Addict....
Confessions Of A Glass Addict....
We start off with beautiful partial sheets of 12"x12" glass. We purchase our glass from a few different places, depending upon availability and time. Sometimes HL ...sometimes glass shops that carry excellent quality glass. We of course, buy more than we need so that we "have options". Chooseing glass for a project is a project in and of itself.
After we create a pattern, either bought or dreamed up, we cut the class. This picture shows after we have cut our pieces out and this is what is left over. As you can see....lots of scraps are left.
But....
We have found the most perfect of ways to use scraps. We use them for embellishments on so many things, we fuse them, use in broken glass windows, mosaics and other glass art pieces.
NOTHING GOES TO WASTE
This was piece was made from scraps. I could not have planned a more beautiful piece if I had tried. This proves that something beautiful can always come from something broken. Not planned - No pattern - No ideas - Just created it - Then named it. It was called "Ukraine" and was purchased to present to a family who had escaped from the Ukraine when the war started.
It was broken....they were not.
